Yelena Bryksenkova is a freelance illustrator and fine artist living and working in New Haven, Connecticut. She was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, raised in Cleveland, and educated at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her pen and watercolor paintings are inspired by Eastern European folk art and 19th century painting, photography and literature, but also everyday life and all sorts of romantic notions and nostalgic recollections.
