Alan Coulson is a contemporary artist born in Leeds in 1977; he currently lives and works in London. He completed foundation studies in art and design at Harrogate College of Art and Design but is otherwise self-taught. Alan works mainly in portraiture, depicting his subjects in a very sensitive manner. The portraits are meticulously detailed and lifelike, with moments of stillness and inner reflection.
