Blu is the pseudonym of an Italian artist who hides his real identity. He has a nomadic spirit so his works are all over the world and you can easily spot them with his recognisable style and incredibly refined technique. Most of the time he portrays human figures in a sarcastic or dramatic way; they are strictly connected to the contemporary social and political events. The artist always tries to communicate with the society and he is never afraid of risk. In 2007 and 2008 he lived in Buenos Aires where he created a stop motion called Muto (Silent), for which he won several awards. Blu’s aesthetic search is inspired by a belief in an open source philosophy, persistent in its anarchical uprising against contemporary art conventions and unique beauty.
