Greg “Craola” Simkins was born in 1975 in Torrance, California. He began drawing when he was only 3 years old and was inspired by various books and cartoons. At the age of 18 Greg’s art continued to progress; he started doing graffiti under the name “Craola.” The graffiti experience gave him the ability to create large works. It taught him colour theory and some other artistic skills. “As our imagination takes over, we tend to leave what is ordinary and go outside of ourselves. This is why I paint and what has inspired me over the years to grow as an artist. It is the constant search for what else is on the outside,” says Greg Simkins.
