Jennifer Nehrbass – Contemporary Dilemmas
Jennifer Nehrbass was born in 1970; she lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The paintings evoke the coexistence of ancient and contemporary elements. She skilfully mixes the detailed realism and pop-accented abstraction. These portraits speak to forbidden thoughts and desires, sex and death. Jennifer is influenced by Maurizio Pellergrin and Joel Witkin. She is also inspired by Hiroshige and Hokusai and the film “The Mill and the Cross.”
