Judson Beaumont – Tree Rings Lights

Judson Beaumont Tree Rings 1

These funky tree lights called “Tree Rings” were designed by Judson Beaumont of Straight Line Designs, a furniture design firm out of Vancouver. The lights are made out of a beetle pine shell topped with mirrored Plexiglas of different colors that allows the embedded cool fluorescent light to shine through in the dark.  It appears the lights can be used as a small tables and bear enough weight to act as a stool.

Judson Beaumont and his staff of eight full-time craftspeople have designed and constructed a variety of custom-built furniture and projects for public institutions and children’s exhibitions throughout North America and abroad. Judson Beaumont was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1960.  He has always striven to push the limits, try different things. Judson incorporates a sense of uniqueness to his designs; proving that anything is possible and nothing is limitless.
