Lorenzo Oggiano – Art and Science Merged
Lorenzo Oggiano is a visual artist born in 1964 in Padova, Italy. He graduated in visual arts at the University of Bologna. Mostly, he works in new media, photography, video and installations. Â Oggiano is inspired by biological organisms and ecosystems. He uses pictures and videos to construct microcosmical environments. Here art and science begin to overlap. But these works are not mere aesthetic manifestations of technical virtuosity, because they are not a possible nature in the future. These mutating objects connect with our emotions and fears as we associate them with a different and bizarre life.
