Joy of Destruction by Xaver Xylophon and Laura Junger
Xaver Xylophon and Laura Junger created an animation called “Joy of Destruction,” using paper collage and stop motion. Xaver Xylophon is a 24 year-old visual communications graduate from Germany and Laura is a Paris-born artist. A film is about “the human drive to destroy and the absurd entertaining value that is attached to it.” It is composed with dark and destructive moments, presented in a beautifully-naive way. We sometimes experience fleeting moments of recklessness and gloomy curiosity. Perhaps this video will help us to satisfy dark and curious sides of our imagination.
