Milwaukee-based photographer Jack Long creates incredible high speed photographs of colored water. His entire goal is to create intriguing three dimensional fluid forms. Jack never uses Photoshop so photography is the only method to capture them because they are fluid and happen really quickly. As an experienced photographer, the quality of light and form are extremely important for him to bring out the shape and characteristics of the fluids. By using a mixture of water, thickener, pigment and dye, he creates incredible exotic flowers, leaves, vessels and blooms frozen in time.
