Peter Callesen is an outstanding figure in Danish contemporary art. He was born in 1967 in Denmark. A large part of his work is made from A4 sheets of paper. He carves both humorous and suggestive stories out of something as simple as the white paper. His works reveal different tales that attract richly deserved attention. Peter Callesen never isolates the figure from the ground; the ground is transformed into the figure so that you can see 2 dimensional space left by the cut with its strange moods and the 3 dimensional reality created by him.
Beside these paperworks he makes performances, installations and takes photographs of snowprints.
