The Girl and the Fox is a hauntingly beautiful short film about a nine-year-old girl, Ilona, “who lives in the wilderness with her parents.” The film is about survival. When a mysterious fox starts killing her family’s livestock, Ilona sets out to track and kill the wicked creature. Here begins a powerful and symbolic journey without a single word uttered. The animation is a lyrical, dialogue-free fairy tale that is as easily accessible as it is deep.
